Roadside Assistance in Florida — Pay-As-You-Go, No Membership

The Roadside Helper is the pay-as-you-go alternative to auto-club memberships across Florida. Most FL drivers pay $80–$120 per year for a roadside membership and never use it, then still wait two or three hours when they actually need help. We flipped that model. Pay when you need us, never when you don't.

One flat rate everywhere in Florida: $100 per hour with a 1-hour minimum. Most calls — jump-starts, lockouts, tire changes — are done inside the minimum. The rate at 2pm on a Tuesday is the same as 2am on Christmas. No after-hours surcharge, no holiday premium, no per-mile-to-your-location trip fee.

Whether you're in Miami, Tampa, Orlando, or anywhere else in FL — our network is local, licensed, insured, and dispatched 24/7. We handle 12 specialized roadside services and operate across 45 cities in Florida.

Our mission is simple: get you back on the road fast, charge a predictable rate, and never sell you something you didn't need. The technician quotes additional time before continuing if your situation turns out to be more complex than the typical job. Nothing is added to your bill that wasn't agreed to first.

How Roadside Assistance Works in Florida

Step 1 — Call (888) 944-3001. A real dispatcher (not a phone tree) answers. We ask your exact location in Florida, vehicle make and model, the nature of the problem, and any safety concerns. That information goes straight to the nearest qualified technician.

Step 2 — The technician calls you with an arrival estimate. You'll also get a text with their name, photo, and ETA. Average response time in the FL cities we serve is under 60 minutes.

Step 3 — On arrival, the tech confirms the situation, walks you through what they're about to do, and gets to work. For roadside calls on highways, they position the service vehicle to shield you from traffic, deploy cones, and put on a reflective vest before starting.

Step 4 — Once the issue is resolved, you get a digital invoice on your phone with the total time worked, the flat-rate cost, and a payment link. All major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, or cash. A receipt goes straight to your email for expense reports, insurance, or rideshare records.

If the roadside fix isn't enough — a vehicle with a more serious issue — the technician will tell you on the spot, quote a tow to a shop, and get it done. We don't disappear once we discover a roadside fix won't work.

12 Roadside Services Available in Florida

We offer 12 specialized roadside services across Florida. Every service is available in all 45 FL cities we serve. Same flat rate. Same trained technicians. Same 24/7 dispatch.

Emergency roadside includes jump-starts for dead batteries, flat tire changes (spare swap or on-site plug-and-inflate), and on-site battery replacement when a jump-start isn't enough. Lockout services cover car lockouts, house lockouts, trunk lockouts, and key fob battery replacement.

Fuel and recovery covers out-of-gas delivery (gasoline or diesel, 2–5 gallons at pump price plus the service rate), local towing (flatbed for AWD/4WD or low-clearance vehicles, wheel-lift for standard sedans), and winch-out recovery for vehicles stuck in mud, snow, sand, or ditches.

Specialty vehicle service in Florida covers motorcycle roadside (motorcycle-trained techs only, never standard auto techs), RV roadside for Class A, B, and C motorhomes and travel trailers, and diesel truck roadside for light and medium-duty work trucks (cold-start, fuel-bleed, DEF delivery).

Why Florida Drivers Choose The Roadside Helper

Florida drivers are tired of paying for auto-club memberships they barely use. Traditional clubs collect $80–$120 a year, gate service behind 3–4 calls, and still keep you waiting two or three hours when something breaks. We charge only when you need us, dispatch 24/7, and the average response in FL is under an hour.

The pricing is transparent: $100 per hour, 1-hour minimum, same rate at every hour of every day. Tow mileage past 5 miles, replacement parts (like a new battery), and fuel are billed separately at cost — exactly what the gas station or parts supplier charges, nothing inflated.

Every technician on our Florida network is licensed, bonded, and insured. If your vehicle is damaged during a service call — a scratched rim during a tire change, a scuffed bumper during a tow hookup — our liability insurance covers the repair at no cost to you.

For fleet, dealership, and rideshare customers in Florida, we offer consolidated monthly billing, dedicated dispatch lines, and consistent technician assignments. The rate per call is the same flat $100/hr, but the operational support is more substantial for commercial accounts.

Roadside Pricing in Florida

Pricing is identical across all 45 FL cities: $100 per hour with a 1-hour minimum. No surcharges for overnight, weekends, or holidays. No per-mile trip fee to reach your location.

Most roadside calls are completed within the 1-hour minimum, which means the minimum is also the maximum for the majority of jobs. A jump-start that takes 20 minutes still bills at the 1-hour minimum — that's the deal. If the situation is more complex — a stuck wheel lug, a vehicle deep in soft ground, a difficult lockout — additional time is quoted before continuing.

Add-on costs are straightforward and capped at actual cost: tow mileage beyond 5 miles is billed at the standard local rate. Fuel delivery is billed at pump price for the fuel itself plus the service rate. Replacement batteries are billed at retail price (no markup) plus the install time. Nothing else.

Same-Day Roadside Across Florida

Most roadside calls in Florida are by definition same-day — you don't plan a dead battery. Dispatch is reactive and fast. For Miami and other high-density FL markets, the closest technician is usually within 20 minutes of your location.

For non-urgent scheduled service (a known-failing battery you want replaced before it strands you, a fuel delivery for a parked car, a planned winch-out), you can book a specific time window through the booking page. The rate is the same and there are no premium charges for evenings, weekends, or holidays.

For fleet and dealership customers in Florida with recurring needs, we coordinate scheduled service rounds (lot battery checks before cold snaps, scheduled tire inspections) at the same flat rate.

What Vehicles We Service in Florida

Passenger vehicles — sedans, coupes, hatchbacks, crossovers, SUVs — get the standard service across every roadside category. We use commercial-grade jump packs that protect modern vehicle electronics, breaker bars and proper torque wrenches for tire changes, professional wedge-and-rod lockout tools (no slim jims, no scratched paint).

Light and medium-duty trucks (1/2-ton, 3/4-ton, 1-ton) get full service including diesel-specific roadside for diesel-powered work trucks. Heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks require a specialist heavy-duty service; we don't dispatch Class 7-8 calls but will refer you to partners who do.

Motorcycles are handled by motorcycle-trained technicians only, with proper motorcycle tow trailers (not wheel lifts, which would damage a bike). RVs and travel trailers (Class A, B, C motorhomes) are handled by RV-trained techs with the right tire inventory, jump systems, and recovery rigs.
